These drugs are CAUSING heart attacks. The diabetes drug, Avandia, last year was deemed to cause 300-500 cases PER MONTH of heart attacks and heart failure in the treatment of diabetes. In other words, to protect people, they were harming them. Can you imagine in any facet of our society where 3600-6000 people a year die under the "protection" from something different. Isn't that crazy? What's even more crazy is that the FDA back in 2007 was fighting to KEEP Avandia on the market (http://www.injuryblawg.com/372/FDA-Study-Recommends-Pulling-Avandia-from-the-Mark.htm) despite knowing these risks. However (http://www.injuryblawg.com/372/FDA-Study-Recommends-Pulling-Avandia-from-the-Mark.htm) now they are recommending that it be removed. I'm sick of this kind of protection.
